MENSA is an international society that has as its sole requirement for membership a score at or above the 98th percentile on any of a number of standardized IQ tests. It is a non-profit organization whose main purpose is to serve as a means of communication and assembly for its members. Special interest groups within MENSA provide a basis for involvement in various activities as well as sharing opinions of affiliations.
